2024 Spring Baseball League Descriptions

Lightning Ball

Ages 4 & 5

This is where it begins! The goal of this league is to create a fun, fast paced, and exciting atmosphere where the children will learn and want to come back to play again.  One of the worst things we can do when introducing a child to a new game is have them wait around.  That inevitably leads to the children losing interest and focus on the game.   That is why we have decided to make a change at this level.  In the past, the coach pitch model lent itself to far too long of ‘down’ times.  We are eliminating that by making this league Tee only.  In turn, it has created more action in the field and on the bases, that keeps our players enthused about being involved.  The more at bats we are able to provide, the more improvement we can make.  We plan to push the pace of the games to get as many reps as possible for all of the players.  Some parents worry that missing out on opportunities to hit a pitched ball will hamper the development of their child.  We firmly believe just the opposite.  The ability to hit off a tee is the foundation for any hitter.  Every single one of our young players need more time hitting off the tee.
